How to manage taxes for business?

InvoiceOwl makes it easy to manage your business tax rates. Here is how:

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Under the Business section, click Tax Rates.
  3. On the Tax Rates page you can:
    • Add a new tax -- Click the Add Tax button in the top right corner. Fill in the tax name, rate, type (exclusive or inclusive), and auto-apply preferences, then click Create Tax.
    • Edit a tax -- Click on any tax in the list to open the edit page. You can change the name and auto-apply settings.
    • Archive a tax -- Click the three-dot menu on a tax row and select Archive to hide it from future use.
    • View archived taxes -- Turn on the Show archived toggle to see archived taxes. You can unarchive them from the same three-dot menu.

Each tax shows its name, rate, type (exclusive/inclusive), and whether it auto-applies to parts and labor.

On the Mobile App

  1. Tap the More tab (bottom right).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Tax Rates.
  4. From here you can:
    • Tap the + icon to add a new tax rate
    • Tap an existing tax to edit it
    • Tap the trash icon to delete a tax rate

Pull down on the list to refresh.
