Every quote needs a client. Here is how to add one:
When creating a new quote:
- Click Quotes in the left sidebar.
- Click New Quote.
- You will see a client selection screen. Type in the search box to find an existing client.
- Click on the client's name to select them. The quote form will open automatically.
- If the client does not exist yet, click + Add new client to create a new client on the spot.
Changing the client on an existing quote:
- Open the quote you want to edit by clicking Edit on the quote detail page.
- In the Client section at the top, click the Change button.
- A dialog appears where you can search for a different client or create a new one.
- Click on the new client to switch to them.
The client's name, company, email, and other details will be pulled automatically from their client record.
On the Mobile App
- Tap the Quotes tab at the bottom, then tap + in the top-right corner (or use the center + button and select Quote).
- On the create quote screen, tap the Client section at the top.
- Search for an existing client by typing their name. Tap a client to select them.
- To add a new client, tap + Add new client at the bottom of the client list.
To change the client on an existing quote, tap the quote to open it, tap the Edit icon in the top-right, then tap the client section to pick a different one.
