InvoiceOwl can automatically remind your clients about quotes they have not responded to yet. This helps you follow up without having to remember to do it yourself.
How to set up quote reminders
- Click Settings in the left sidebar.
- Click Reminders.
- Turn on the Basic Reminders toggle if it is not already on.
- Scroll down to the Quote Reminders section.
Follow-up after sending
Check Follow-up after sending to send a reminder a set number of days after you send the quote. Enter how many days to wait (for example, 5 days after sending).
Before expiration
Check Before expiration to send a reminder before the quote expires. Enter how many days before the expiration date (for example, 2 days before it expires).
On expiration day
Check On expiration day to send a reminder on the morning the quote expires.
Choosing how reminders are sent
Under Delivery channel at the top of the reminders page, pick how reminders go out:
- Email only -- sends reminders by email (available on all plans)
- SMS only -- sends reminders by text message (Premium plans only)
- Email, then SMS -- starts with email, switches to SMS if no response (Premium plans only)
- Both email & SMS -- sends both at the same time (Premium plans only)
The delivery channel setting applies to both invoice and quote reminders.
When do quote reminders stop?
Reminders stop automatically when a quote is accepted or converted to an invoice. You do not need to turn them off yourself.
