You can view the full payment history for any invoice directly on the invoice detail page:
- Click Invoices in the left sidebar.
- Click on the invoice you want to check.
- Scroll down on the invoice detail page to the Payments Received section.
- Here you will see all payments recorded against this invoice, including:
- Payment method (Cash, Check, Card, ACH, Credit Memo, etc.)
- Payment date and reference number
- Amount of each payment
- Status -- a green checkmark for completed payments, amber clock for processing, or red icon for failed payments
- Refunds are shown in red with a refund icon
- For each non-credit-memo payment, click the three-dot menu to Refund (for Stripe payments) or Delete (for manually recorded payments).
The totals section above the payments shows the running breakdown: Subtotal, Discount, Taxes, Total, Payments Applied, and the remaining Balance Due.
For paid invoices, you can also download or email a receipt using the Receipt dropdown in the right sidebar.
On the Mobile App
- Tap the Invoices tab and tap the invoice you want to check.
- On the invoice detail screen, scroll down to see the totals breakdown showing Payments Applied and Balance Due.
- The totals section shows: Subtotal, Discount, Taxes, Total, Payments Applied, and the remaining Balance Due.
For paid invoices, you can tap Send Receipt at the bottom of the screen to email a receipt to your client.
