What different quote notifications can you send via email?

Last updated: March 21, 2026

InvoiceOwl can send several types of email notifications related to quotes:

Sending a quote:

When you send a quote, your client receives an email with a link to view the full quote, including line items, totals, and any attached contract. You can customize the subject line and message body before sending.

Sending a reminder:

If a quote is in Awaiting Response status, you can send a reminder to your client:

  1. Open the quote and click Send Reminder in the right sidebar.
  2. Review or edit the reminder message.
  3. Click Send to deliver the reminder.

Automatic notifications:

InvoiceOwl also sends automatic notifications when certain things happen:

  • Quote approved -- you are notified when a client approves your quote.
  • Changes requested -- you are notified when a client requests changes, along with their feedback message.
  • Contract signed -- you are notified when a client signs the attached contract.
  • Deposit paid -- you are notified when a client pays a deposit on the quote.

You can manage email notification templates in your business settings.

On the Mobile App

You can send quotes and reminders from the mobile app, and you will receive the same automatic notifications:

  • Sending a quote: Open the quote and tap Send Quote at the bottom of the screen. Choose email or text message.
  • Sending a reminder: Open a quote in Awaiting Response status and tap Send Reminder at the bottom.
  • Automatic notifications (quote approved, changes requested, contract signed, deposit paid) are delivered to your email and as push notifications on your phone.

Notification settings can be managed in More > Settings > Notifications.
