How to add terms & conditions to my quote?

Last updated: March 21, 2026

You can add terms, conditions, or any notes for your client directly on a quote. There are two ways to do this:

Using the Note for Client field:

  1. Click Quotes in the left sidebar and open or create a quote.
  2. Scroll down to the Note for Client section on the quote form.
  3. Type your terms and conditions, payment terms, or any message for the client in the text box.
  4. This note will appear on the quote document that your client receives.
  5. Your changes save automatically.

Attaching a contract template:

For more formal terms and conditions, you can attach a contract to the quote:

  1. On the quote form, scroll down to the Contract section.
  2. Select a contract template from the dropdown.
  3. The contract will be attached to the quote and your client can view and sign it.

See the "How to attach a contract to a quote" help article for more details on contracts.

On the Mobile App

  1. Tap the Quotes tab, then create a new quote or open an existing one and tap the Edit icon.
  2. Scroll down and tap Notes to open the notes editor.
  3. Type your terms, conditions, or any message for the client.
  4. Tap Done to save.

To attach a formal contract, scroll down and tap Contract to select a contract template. Contract templates can be managed in More > Settings > Contracts.
